FEATURES:
-Select one face and run the tool to align the lattice deformer to the object
-Works even if the transform is frozen
-To create the lattice on verts or edges, select verts or edges and use multi select mode to shift select a single face
-To create the lattice on faces, select multiple faces and use multi select mode to shift select a single edge
-Selecting multiple faces uses the average normal of the selection which works great for symmetrical models, but you'll get more useful results from the multi select workflow above in most cases
